10.2 Locating a short circuit in the equipment connected.

(HV indicator neon lamp stays dark).

Warning:
-
Disconnect the power supply before carrying out work on the unit.
- Equipment and metal-shielded cables must be properly earthed. For this reason, it is
necessary that the glands on the shielded cables are properly fitted. Earthing is
required to ensure proper operation of the equipment and to avoid unpleasant
electrical shocks upon contact.
1 Disconnect all connected equipment from the power unit.
2 Switch on the power unit and check that the HV indicator lamp is lit.
3 Reconnect the devices to the power unit one by one. Check that the HV indicator lamp is lit
for each device.
4 If the HV indicator lamp does not light up after connecting a device, switch the power unit off.
5 Disconnect the last device connected and consult the manual for this device to rectify the
short circuit.

11 Repair

Warning:

Disconnect the power supply before carrying out work on the unit.

Installation shall be carried out by a skilled electrical engineer.
It is not possible to repair parts of the power unit. To order parts, see the spares list.
Simco-Ion recommends that you return the power unit if repairs are required.
Request an RMA form by sending an e-mail to service@simco-ion.nl.
Pack the power unit properly and clearly state the reason for return.

12 Disposal

Adhere to the applicable local environmental and other rules when disposing of the equipment.
