8.3 DEVICE MAINTENANCE

Important:
Do not use an abrasive product to clean the device.
Do not allow cleaning/disinfecting spray to penetrate inside the device.
The device, motor and footswitch are not sterilizable.
Unplug the main unit from power source before cleaning or disinfecting. Do not use directly on
liquids and sprays. Never immerse the unit or its parts in liquid.
External surface of the console may be cleaned with a damp cloth or disinfectant wipe. The housing
is not waterproof. Do not use ultrasonic or steam sterilizers.
The I-Endo Dual control unit and the footswitch must always be cleaned and disinfected after each
procedure using alcohol, disinfectant agents or disinfectant wipes for dental practices.
The exterior of the footswitch may be cleaned by wiping with a soft cloth moistened with mild
detergent or disinfecting solution.
Regular monitoring of the I-Endo Dual unit is necessary in order to detect any problem. It is important to
keep the control unit ventilation vents clean in order to avoid abnormal heating.

8.4 MICRO-MOTOR AND CORD MAINTENANCE

Do not sterilize or lubricate the micro motor.
Do not attempt to disassemble the motor or motor connector. Unplug the main unit from power
source before cleaning or disinfecting. Do not use directly on liquids and sprays. Never immerse the
motor in liquid. External surface of the micro motor may be cleaned with a damp cloth or disinfectant
wipe. Do not place micro motor in ultrasonic sterilizers. Motor holder may be cleaned with a damp cloth
or disinfectant wipe.
Always check the values before use. Danger of injury for incorrect use.
When treating patients who may have an acute, critical infectious disease, be sure to
observe the hygienic measures cited in applicable publications and reports. If
possible, use suitable disposable products to avoid the transmission of critical
pathogens. These protect the user, the patient and all participants in the office.
IX – MONITORING / PREVENTIVE AND CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE
Important:
In the case of a fault, you are advised to contact the supplier of your device. Do not use
unauthorized repairers, who might make your device dangerous for you and your patients.

9.1 MONITORING

Regular monitoring of the device and its accessories is necessary in order to detect any insulation fault
or damage. Replace, if necessary.
