5.3 TORQUE CALIBRATION

Perform torque calibration, press "Calibration" key on front panel while holding the motor. This
function check the handpiece mechanical inertia, in order to off-set this value. This operation will take
a few seconds, the motor will run at different speed (Fig. 7)
Time of Calibration: about 8 sec. Do not perform any operation during calibration. Calibration should be
done before each endo session or anytime the contra-angle is changed or lubricated.

5.4 PROGRAM SETTINGS ADJUSTMENT

a. Rotating mode
In every program has been set the same information by the manufacturer (Fig. 8):
Ratio : 16:1
Speed : 300 rpm
Direction: FWD
Torque: 0.5 Ncm
"Special Autoreverse": ON
The listed parameters are only examples. To prevent unnecessary risk, observe the
guideline speeds given by the manufacturer of the rotating instruments and contra-
angle system in use.
The first row shows the:
MODE in use: F+R / Rotating
The second row shows the:
Program in use. (left)
Scroll programs with "Program" button
Direction (FWD). (right)
Toggle FWD/REV (beep) with "FWD REV" button
The third row shows the:
Speed in use (left)
Change speed with "RPM" button
Set torque value in Ncm (right)
Change value of the set torque with "Ncm" button
The fourth row shows the:
The file must not be engaged in any operation when this function is
performed.
Calibration should be done before each surgical session or anytime the
handpiece is changed or lubricated.
Do not perform calibration if the micro motor is not inserted in the
receptacle on the front panel of the unit. In case of error, perform a
"System Reset" as described below.
