Recalibrating and Adjusting the MSC540BL-S ESC
Preparing the Transmitter
1. Make sure the transmitter batteries are fully charged.
2. Power the transmitter on.
3. Set the Travel Adjust to the maximum value in the forward and reverse
directions. If your transmitter has an adjustable throttle trigger, please
select 70/30.
4. Make sure the throttle channel reversing is set to NORMAL.
5. Center the throttle trim and make sure any sub-trims are set to 0.
Connecting the Battery to the ESC
1. Make sure the ESC power switch is in the OFF position.
2. Connect the blue EC3 battery connector to the ESC.
3. Power the transmitter on.
4. Power the ESC on.
Using Reverse
1. Apply brake.
2. Return the throttle to neutral when the vehicle comes to a stop.
3. Apply brake again. Reverse is now active.
NOTICE: There is no delay when changing from Reverse to Forward.
Not allowing the vehicle to stop before changing from Reverse to
Forward may cause damage to the vehicle gearing, motor or both.
One-Touch Calibration
The motor does not receive power when the ESC is in programming
or calibration mode.
1. Power the transmitter on.
2. Press and hold the Setup button while powering the ESC on.
3. Release the Setup Button when the Green LED is on.
4. Move the throttle to the full throttle position. Hold full throttle until
the Green LED glows solid, confirming the forward endpoint position.
5. Move the throttle to the full brake position. Hold full brake until the
Red LED glows solid, confirming the brake/reverse endpoint position.
6. Return the throttle to the center/neutral position. The calibration
is complete when both Green and Red LEDs glow solid.

ESC Programming
The motor does not receive power when the ESC is in programming
or calibration mode.
1. Power the transmitter on.
2. Power the ESC on. The Green and Red LEDs glow solid.
4. Release the Setup button to enter a Menu. A pause after each menu
ON
OFF
option allows you to make a selection.
6. Quickly press the setup button to change the Setting selection.
7. After you select a menu option, press and hold the Setup button
to confirm the selection.
*The black-shaded setting is the factory default.
