• If you are using the mask with a
Weinmann sleep therapy device with an
Autostart function, the therapy device
may not always switch off automatically
when the mask is taken off. This applies
to size S nasal pillows in particular.
• If your ventilation device has leakage or
low pressure alarms, set these so that
an alarm is triggered as soon as you
remove the mask or it slips out of
position.
3.3.3 Exhalation system
The mask has an integrated exhalation sys-
tem. Rotating sleeve 11 and elbow 6 are
shaped so that there is a gap between
these parts (Fig. G), through which ex-
haled air can escape. The specific geome-
try of the parts ensures that the rotating
sleeve cannot seal this gap when it is
pushed into place.
3.3.4 Pressure measurement port
The mask has a pressure measurement
port 8 on tube adapter 7 with which you
can either measure therapy pressure or
supply oxygen. If you are not using the
pressure measurement port, seal it with
the plug to reach therapy pressure.
3.3.5 Respiratory air humidifier
The mask can be used with cold or warm
air humidifiers, though the degree of hu-
midification should never be so high that
water condenses in the mask tube. Follow
the instructions for use of the respiratory
air humidifier.

4 Operation

All the figures are on the enclosed leaflet.

4.1 Put on mask

1. Select a suitable nasal pillow.
2. Push nasal pillow onto mask body
(Fig. B).
3. Push nasal pillow against nostrils.
4. Pull headgear over head (Fig. K).
5. Using the Velcro tab on crossband 2 on
the head, adjust the width of the head-
gear so that the crossband is located
centrally on the head (Figs. H-J).
6. Adjust forehead strap 15 and cheek
strap 16 using the Velcro tabs on both
sides so that the mask seals on the
face, but is not too tight.
7. Keep the tabs of forehead support 4
depressed.
8. Engage the forehead support in one of
the seven positions (numbers 1-7,
Fig. C) so that the mask seals on the
face but is not too tight.
9. Connect mask tube 10 to the ventila-
tion tube of the therapy device via tube
adapter 7.
Tip
• The ball joint allows you to guide the
mask tube freely (Fig. I). You can attach
it to the headgear on the side (Fig. J) or
top (Fig. H) using the tube anchoring
strap.
• If you wish to fix the mask tube to the
head for sleeping, first connect the
mask tube to the ventilation tube of the
therapy device. You can then either
attach the mask tube to the forehead
support using tube anchoring clip 3
and/or to the top of the headgear using
tube anchoring strap 9.
• Ensure that there is a secure, airtight
connection to the ventilation tube. The
connection may not come loose as a
result of therapy.
