TROUBLESHOOTING
Use the inspections in the table below if the tool does not operate normally. If this does not remedy the problem, consult your
dealer or the Hitachi Authorized Service Center.
1. Power tool
Symptom
Tool doesn't run
Tool suddenly stopped
Cannot be inclined
Cannot reverse incline
Parallelism cannot be fi ne
tuned
Doesn't cut well
Switch can't be pulled
Sawdust discharge is poor
Battery cannot be installed
Possible cause
No remaining battery power
Battery isn't fully installed.
Tool was overburdened
Overload protection is in operation.
The battery is overheated.
The incline lever (front) and incline wing nut
(rear) are not loosened.
The cutting depth is set at maximum.
The incline lever (front) and incline wing nut
(rear) are not loosened.
The M5 hexagon socket set screw holding
the gear cover hinge needs to be loosened.
The saw blade is worn or missing teeth.
The bolt is loose.
The saw blade is installed backwards.
The switch lock is not pushed in enough.
Sawdust has accumulated in the saw cover. Remove the sawdust inside the saw cover.
Attempting to install a battery other than that
specifi ed for the tool.
Charge the battery.
Push the battery in until you hear a click.
Get rid of the problem causing the
overburden.
Let the battery cool down.
Try inclining after loosening the incline
lever (front) and incline wing nut (rear).
Tighten the loosened parts after making the
necessary adjustments.
Reverse incline after adjusting the cutting
depth to a lesser setting.
Try inclining after loosening the incline lever
(front) and incline wing nut (rear).
Loosen the M5 hexagon socket set screw
holding the gear cover hinge.
Replace with a new saw blade.
Firmly tighten the bolt.
Install the saw blade in the proper direction.
Push the switch lock in all the way.
Please install a multi volt type battery.
