DESCRIPTION
Thank you for choosing our product! To get the best of your equipment, please read carefully the following.
MASTER welders are traditional stick welders for welding in direct current (DC). They can weld rutile, cast-iron, basic
and stainless steel electrodes. They work on a 380V tri-phase power supply.
Before any use, read carefully the user manual and follow the instructions of the manufacturer. If
the item is misused, it can be dangerous for people, animals and buildings in the working environment.
The user remains responsible for the environment and working safety.
POWER SUPPLY – START UP
• These welders have to be plugged on a 3ph 380V socket (50-60Hz) with EARTH. The absorbed effective current (I1)
is shown on the machine, for maximal using conditions. The machine is fitted with a bare power cable. The user has
to connect the three phases and the earth. Check if the power supply and its protection (fuse and/or circuit breaker)
are compatibles with the current necessary. The unit must be located in a place where it is easy to access to the plug.
• Start the machine by turning ON the ON/OFF button.
• Connect the earth cable and the electrode holder in the quick plugs on the front of the machine. Respect the polarities
(+/-) indicated on the electrodes packaging.
• Do not use the machine in a wet environment and in an area containing metallic conducting dust and inflammable
elements.
USE
1. Ensure the earth clamp is connected to the work piece (as close as possible to the welding area)
2. Select the welding current by adjusting the knob according to the diameter of the electrode to weld. Adjust the
welding current by turning the knob form 1 to 7.
3. Thermal protection : After a long period of welding or intensive use, it is neFssary to wait until the machine cools
down. These machines are protected by a thermostat which will automatically cut out the power to the unit to prevent
damage during an overload.
4. After using the welding unit, turn off the unit switch and unplug the machine.
MAINTENANCE
• Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
• Disconnect the generator and wait until the ventilator stopped before working on the unit. Inside the device,
voltages and current are dangerous.
• Two or three times a year, remove the steel cover and blow off the dust with compressed air. Let check the electrical
connections (with an insulated tool) and the insulations by qualified personnel.
• Regularly control the state of the supply cable. If this supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, the after sales service or a qualified technician to avoid any danger.
ADVICE
• Respect welding polarities and currents indicated on the electrode packaging
• Remove the electrode from the electrode holder when you do not use it.
• Keep the ventilated parts of the machine clean to allow in/out air circulation.
SECURITE
