Extraction systems

The cooker hood can be connected in one of
two ways:
To a duct. The cooking vapours extracted
by suction are carried outside, once the
grease particles have been filtered. This is
the best method.
As a recirculation hood. The grease
particles and the smell in the extracted
vapours are filtered. The air that has been
sucked in is not carried outside but
recirculates in the kitchen. In this case you
must have a carbon filter fitted.
Note:
The carbon filter must be ordered seperately.

Electrical connection

When making the electrical connections,
make sure the current socket has an earth
wire connection and check if the voltage
corresponds with the rating plate inside the
hood.
After the extractor hood is installed, the
socket should be easily accessible so that
the hood can be switched off. When
connecting the appliance to the mains
supply, national regulations must always
be observed.

Mounting the canopy hood

(see fig. 1
and 4)
1. Saw a 460 x 260 mm hole in the bottom of
the hood (A) (see figure 1).
Saw the hole for the exhaust pipe as
well.
2. Install an electrical outlet in the hood
niche for the electrical connection.
3. Place the mouth of the pipe on the
canopy exhaust opening.
4. Remove the filter frame (see "Replacing
the filter" on page 9) and install the
canopy under the hood opening.
5. Connect the exhaust pipe to the pipe
mouth and plug the electrical plug into
the electrical outlet.
6. Install the canopy in the opening and
secure it with the 4 screws provided (see
figure 4/1).

Cleaning

Cooker hood
Clean the cooker hood with soapy water and a
soft cloth, then wipe with clean water to rinse.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents such
as soda. The cooker hood paintwork will stay
looking nice if you wax it occasionally.
Filters
Wash aluminium filters, every week in
soapy water. The cleaning agents will
make the aluminium filter turn dull, this is
normal.
The carbon filters cannot be cleaned to use
again.

Replacing the filter

Switch off the electricity! Remove the plug
from the socket or switch the electricity off at
the mains.
Aluminium filter
Shove the handle to the right and inwards
and pull the filter downwards (see
figure 2/1).
Push both latches inwards (see figure 3/1)
before removing the filter frame.
Carbon filter
The carbon filter must be used if the cooker
hood is not connected to a duct (see
extraction systems on page 8).
Note:
The carbon filter must be replaced at least
twice a year, depending on how much the
cooker hood is used.
Carbon filters cannot be cleaned to use
again.
Saturated carbon is harmful to the
environment. Replace the filter regularly.
Fitting the carbon filter
Centre the carbon filter with the sunken round
surface on top of the motor frame and turn it
to the right (see fig. 4/2).

Changing the light bulbs

Remove the filter panel and change the light
bulb (see fig. 4/3).
