Used
when you photograph

in dim light

flash to reduce red-eye
The
flash
wi
ll lire briefly live times
(pre-flash),
then lire the
sixth time
for taking
a picture.
*The AF lamp in
the
viewfinder eyepiece keeps
lighting
from
pre-flash
to
exposure.
Do not
move the camera
wh ile the
AF
lamp is lighting.
A
ward

red--eye
When
you
photograph
a
person·s face in dim light
with
flash
,
the
eyes will
sometimes tu rn
out
red
in
the
picture.
Thi
s
happens
as
the
light
from the flash
enters the
eyes
and
is
reflected
back into
the
camera
lens.
Under the
red-eye
reduction flash mode. the
subject's
pupils
are closed dawn before the

finally.
