Device description

The electronic digital thermometer from SIKA is a forward-looking measuring device with ex-
tremely low-level power consumption. The DiTemp DT3 is supplied with energy from two lith-
ium battery which has a service life of approx. 10 years.
The DiTemp DT3 functions according to a time-discrete
measurement process. The cycle time of each meas-
urement is 3 s; this ensures that a current value can al-
ways be read, even in passing.
The DiTemp DT3 is available in two versions:
•
straight immersion tube.
•
right-angle immersion tube (90°).
•
with remote sensor cable.

1.1 Intended use

The electronic digital thermometer DiTemp DT3 is a local temperature measuring device
which has been designed for measuring and displaying temperatures.
WARNING! No safety component!
The electronic digital thermometer of the series DiTemp DT3 are not safety components
in accordance with Directive 2006-42-EC (Machine Directive).
Never use the DiTemp DT3 as a safety component.
The operational safety of the supplied thermometer is only guaranteed if it is operated ac-
cording to its intended use. The specified limit values (
be exceeded.
CAUTION! Risk of injury or material damage!
The DiTemp DT3 should not expose to improper mechanical stress.
Never use the DiTemp DT3 as a handle, foothold or something like that.
Before installing the device, check that the wetted materials of the device are compatible with
the media being used (
2 Safety instructions
Before you install the DiTemp DT3, read through this operating manual carefully. If the
instructions contained within it are not followed, in particular the safety guidelines, this
could result in danger for people, the environment, and the device and the system it is
connected to.
The DiTemp DT3 correspond to the state-of-the-art technology. This concerns the accuracy,
the operating mode and the safe operation of the device.
