GAMMA
You can alter the gamma compensation applied to the
camera picture.
OFF: Outputs the video signal linearly without gamma
compensation. Use this setting when you want to
produce images for image processing or image
analysis.
ON (MS): Activates gamma compensation on live
images and captured still pictures suitable for
microscope shooting.
ON (STD): Compensates the reproduction
characteristics of a cathode-ray tube of a monitor for
live images and captured still pictures.
AE SPEED (Auto exposure
focusing speed)
Selects the focusing speed in Auto Exposure mode.
Select from among NORMAL, FAST, and SLOW.
FLASH MODE
You can set the mode for shooting using a flash.
OFF: Deactivates flash mode
EXT: INPUT: Select this mode when connecting a
commercially available slave unit for flash
synchronization.
EXT: OUTPUT: Select this mode when connecting a
commercially available flash for flash
synchronization.
DISPLAY SET
When you select this item and press the ENTER button,
the DISPLAY SET menu appears.
You can specify whether to display or not to display
information on shooting on the LCD monitor when
pressing the DISP/INFO button to set the display on.
All the items are set to ON at the factory.
The following items are listed in the menu, and you can
specify whether to display or not for each item:
• SIZE/FORMAT/QLTY (Picture size/recording
format/picture quality)
• FOLDER/FILE NAME (Folder name/file name of
an image recorded on a card)
• ID NO (User ID number)
• REMAINING SHOT (Remaining number of shots to
be recorded on a card)
• TV/GAIN/EV COMP (shutter speed/gain/EV
compensation volume)
• AE FRAME (AE window)
• FOCUS DISPLAY (Focus indicator)
• WB WHITE (White balance mode)
• DATE & TIME (Current date and time)
ON: To display the item on the LCD monitor.
OFF: Not to display the item on the LCD monitor.
CAPTURE/REC SET UP
Menu
The CAPTURE/REC SET UP menu is used to set for
capturing or recording the still pictures on a card.
CAPTURE TRIG (Capture Trigger)
Selects the input connector for capturing still pictures.
MAIN SW: Select when capturing using the CAPTURE
button on the camera control unit.
FS1: Select when capturing by switching the FS-20 foot
switch (not supplied) connected to the FS1
connector.
FS2: Select to activate the input signal to the FS2
connector.
EXT TRIG: Select when capturing by a flash with a
slave unit connected to the TRIG IN connector.
Note
Even if you select FS1, FS2 or EXT TRIG, you can use
the CAPTURE button.
FS1 MODE
This item is displayed only when CAPTURE TRIG is
set to FS1.
Sets the operation of the camera when trigger is input to
the FS1 connector.
CAPTURE/REC: Each time a trigger pulse is input to
the FS1 connector, capturing and recording is
executed and the still pictur changes.
SEQUENCE: Capturing and recording repeat when a
trigger pulse is input to the FS1 connector.
