PROBLEM

16. Storing the device when not in use
If you do not intend to use the device over a longer period of time, store it
in a cool, dry place and make sure that it is protected from dust and extreme
temperature fluctuations.
If the device is not to be used for a long period, remove the battery from the
remote control, and disconnect the mains adapter from the device.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
The volume is set
too low.
Malfunction caused
by a thunderstorm,
static charge or
another external
factor.
The battery is flat or
incorrectly inserted.
The infrared
transmitter is not
receiving a signal.
CD inserted
incorrectly.
CD damaged or
dirty.
Incorrect CD format.
REMEDY
Increase the volume as required.
During AUX playback: also turn
up the volume on the playback
device.
Unplug the mains adapter and
remove the battery. Plug the
mains adapter back in.
This resets the device to
the factory settings.
Replace the battery with a new
3 V, CR2025 battery and make
sure the polarity is correct when
inserting it.
Remove any obstacles between
the infrared transmitter, the
remote control and the sensor on
the device.
Reduce the distance to the device.
Insert the CD with the label facing
upwards.
Check whether the disc is
damaged by trying another disc. If
the disc is dirty, clean it carefully,
wiping it from the centre to the
edge with a soft, dry cloth.
Only use CDs that are specified as
compatible in the technical data.
