Troubleshooting list

Repair and maintenance of the device may only be performed
by a qualified professional
Hazardous voltage! There may
be several power supply circuits
Note: In the case of incorrect operation, first check the following:
That the construction and ventilation of the steamroom, as
well as the correct power output in relation to room volume,
are in accordance with our instructions.
That the steam generator is installed correctly in accordance
with these instructions.
That the shut-off valve (if there is one) in the water supply line
to the steam generator is not closed.
Below is a troubleshooting list showing possible causes of faults
and suggested remedies.
Info! If an error code is displayed on the control panel, see the
user instructions for the control panel.
Important! Note that the remedies in the troubleshooting
list that regard pipes and electrical installation must be
performed by a qualified professional.
The set temperature (40-50°C) is reached in the steamroom,
but there is no steam inside the room.
Fault cause: Insufficient ventilation in the steamroom.
1.
Remedy: Increase the amount of ventilation. If the outlet vent
evacuates less than 10-20 m³ of air per person per hour, the
ventilation is insufficient. This can occur if the outlet vent is
not connected to a mechanical extractor, or if a water pocket
is blocking the ventilation duct.
Fault cause: The incoming air temperature to the steamroom
2.
is too high.
Remedy: Reduce the incoming air temperature to max. 35°C.
Fault cause: The ambient air temperature surrounding the
3.
steamroom is higher than 35°C.
Remedy: Ensure that the ambient temperature does not
exceed 35°C.
The steamroom is taking an abnormally long time to warm up
or neither steam nor heat are generated.
Fault cause: The steam generator's power output is too low.
1.
See the table indicating correct power output in relation to
room volume in these instructions.
Remedy: Change to a steam generator with a higher power
output.
Fault cause: The ventilation in the steamroom is too strong.
2.
Remedy: Reduce the amount of ventilation. The ventilation
rate should be 10-20 m³ of air per person per hour.
Fault cause: A fuse in the distribution board has blown/
3.
tripped.
Remedy: Replace/reset the fuse.
4.
Fault cause: Faulty/broken tubular element in steam
generator.
Remedy: Replace the tubular element.
5.
Fault cause: A started steam bath session has been switched
off (session time ended, session manually switched off) or an
error code has been generated.
Remedy: Check the control panel status, start a new steam
bath session. See user instructions for control panel.
6.
Fault cause: The steam generator has been incorrectly wired up.
Remedy: Check the electrical wiring/connections diagram.
7.
Fault cause: The mechanical temperature cut-out has been
triggered, in which case the control panel will switch off.
Remedy: Reset the temperature cut-out. See the
Temperature cut-out section.
8.
Fault cause: Internal circuit board fault or control panel fault.
Remedy: Replace the faulty component.

Troubleshooting

Water flows out of the steam nozzle unevenly, or water flows
out with reduced pressure mixed with steam.
Info! It is normal for a little water to periodically drip from the
steam nozzle.
Fault cause: Build-up of deposit on the electrodes that control
1.
the water level.
Remedy: Remove and clean the electrodes. Rub with a
cloth until all deposits have been removed. See the section
Electrodes, water level.
Water runs out of the steam generator's steam nozzle/
motorised ball valve.
Fault cause: The motorised ball valve is in the open position.
1.
Remedy: Check the control panel status to see whether an
error code has occurred which is causing error code clearing
of the tank. Check whether the tank has started emptying
automatically during operation or after a steam bath session
has ended. These occurrences are a normal part of the
steam generator's function and do not signify a fault or error.
2.
Fault cause: Motorised ball valve doesn't close.
Remedy: Check the circuit board to see if the relay is faulty.
Alternatively, the motorised ball valve may be faulty.
Temperature cut-out is activated.
1.
Fault cause: The conductivity of the water is too high or there
is calcium in the steam generator water tank which is causing
foam build-up.
Remedy: Descale the steam generator's water tank. See the
Descaling and Temperature cut-out sections.
Lighting is not working.
Fault cause: The steam generator has been incorrectly wired up.
1.
Remedy: Check the electrical wiring/connections diagram.
Fault cause: A fuse in the distribution board has blown/
2.
tripped.
Remedy: Reset the fuse
Steam tank overfull - level electrodes not working.
First read the list of error codes in the user instructions for the
Elite control panel. Also see the Electrodes, water level section
in these instructions.
Fault cause: The shut-off valve (if there is one) in the water
1.
supply line to the steam generator is closed.
Remedy: Open the shut-off valve
Fault cause: The electrodes are not detecting the water level.
2.
Remedy: See the Electrodes, water level section in these
instructions.
Emptying fault, steam tank
Fault cause: The steam generator is blocked with limescale
1.
due to poor maintenance.
Remedy: Descale the steam generator. See the Descaling
section in these instructions. If the motorised ball valve is
blocked, it can be cleared by blowing compressed air into
it during emptying, when the valve is in the open position.
2.
Fault cause: Motorised ball valve is faulty.
Remedy: Check the motorised ball valve for faults. For
manual emptying of the water reservoir, see the Service
section in these instructions.
3.
Fault cause: The relay on the circuit board that controls the
motorised ball valve is faulty.
Remedy: Check the circuit board for faults.
