•
Use a power drill to drill 6 holes in the fl oor of the pit
near the holes already made in the sheet at the base
of the lift. Use jets of compressed air to clean these
holes from residue.
•
Insert the M10 screw anchors into the respective
holes one at a time and push them deep inside using
a plastic mallet and then screw down the respective
nut.
•
Tighten the nut on each screw anchor using a torque
wrench or similar tool. If the wrench fails to reach the
required tightening torque value, it means that the
hole is too large or the consistency of the foundation
into which the hole has been drilled is insuffi cient.
When in doubt, perform a new fi xing using chemically-
anchored bolts.
•
Disconnect the various pipes and cables from the
control console and pass them through the pit's
previously prepared underground raceway until they
emerge on the other side.
WARNING! The imperfect or incorrect fastening
of the lift's base in the pit can cause instability
during operation and create the risk of vehicle
falling. Regularly check the effi ciency of such
fastening on the ground at the base of the lift.
Proceed to the fi nal positioning of the hydraulic unit control
console by proceeding as follows (Fig. 3a PONYBENCH
BEPLUS or Fig. 3bPONYBENCH BPPLUS):
•
Place the control console in its fi nal position with the
hydraulic unit positioned over the hole for the mouth
of the stiff PVC pipe's elbow union laid underground in
the fl oor that connects the lift housing pit to the control
console itself.
•
Make sure that the hole in the base of the control
console is perfectly aligned with the mouth of the
underground PVC pipe's elbow union.
•
The control console is supported by 4 rubber pads:
make sure that all 4 are perfectly positioned on the
fl oor, otherwise adjust as required by screwing/
unscrewing.
•
Do not insert the control console casing into the
hydraulic unit yet: this operation must be performed
only after completing all the connections.
•
Wipe up any oil leaks on the fl oor or the base of the lift
using a cloth.
3.3 CONNECTIONS
After installation, carefully make the PONYBENCH-B
connections by proceeding as follows:
WARNING! It is very important for the various
PONYBENCH-B connections to be connected
correctly. Scrupulously follow the instructions
and observe the diagrams provided below.
3.3.1 CONNECTING THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Connect the lift's hydraulic system using the fl exible pipe
provided by proceeding as follows (fi g. 4):
•
Remove the black rubber fl exible pipe from inside the
lift. One of its ends is already connected to the lift's
jack.
•
After connecting the fl exible pipe, be careful to avoid
spilling oil because the hydraulic unit tank is supplied
already fi lled by the manufacturer.
•
Connect the automatic coupling at the end of the
fl exible pipe to the hydraulic control unit.
