BLADE REPLACEMENT
WARNING: Before any adjustment, repair or maintenance work, and before changing the
blade, switch off the machine and disconnect it form any current source by removing the plug
from the socket.
1.
Unscrew the screw fixing the protective cap to the riving
knife and remove the bench inlay by unscrewing flat-headed
Phillips screw (Fig. 9).
2.
Turn the height adjust handwheel of the blade counter-
clockwise to move the axis of the blade at its highest
position.
3.
Remove the fixing nut 1, flange 2 and blade 3.
4.
Thoroughly clean the flanges 2 and 5, the shaft 4 and blade
3
5.
Install the flange 5, blade 3, flange 2 and then tighten the
fixing nut 1.
6.
Check that the blade is perfectly fixed, that the riving knife is
aligned and at the correct distance from the blade (see
adjustment of the riving knife), the re-assemble the bench inlay.
7.
Re-assemble the protective cap: place the protective cap on the upper
side of the riving knife in order that its hole is perfectly aligned to the
one of the riving knife and fix it with the screw and the nut.
8.
Turn the blade by hand to check that there are not obstacles.
9.
Connect the machine and start it for a while without processing
immediately the material to be cut to check that there are not any
problems.
