Apart from the uses mentioned above, this hood cannot be used to protect against any other risk;
in the event of use considered abnormal, the manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damage.
Warnings :
• The performance of this hood can only be guaranteed if it is worn correctly.
• The level of flame protection will be reduced if the welder's protective clothing is contaminated
with flammable materials.
• An increase in the oxygen concentration of the air considerably reduces the protection of the
welder's protective clothing against flame. Care should be taken when welding in confined spaces,
for example, if it is possible that the atmosphere can be enriched with oxygen.
• This hood protects the user in certain working and welding positions. It may be possible that ad-
ditional protective clothing may be required. These additional garments must comply with EN11611
of class 1 minimum.
• This user manual must be kept as long as the gloves are kept and/or in use.
• In the case of hoods intended for arc welding: this hood does not provide protection against
electric shock caused by defective equipment or live work, and the electrical resistance is reduced
if this hood is wet, dirty or soaked in sweat, this could increase the risk.
• Additional partial protections may be required, for example for overhead welding above the head;
• Users with symptoms similar to sunburn mean that the clothing worn allows UVB rays to pass
through. In this case, it is advisable to repair (if possible)
or replace the clothing item and consider the use of additional stronger protective layers in the
future.
DURATION OF USE :
Check the condition of your hood regularly. Any holes, wear or tear can reduce the performance
level of the hoods. The hoods must then be replaced.
PACKAGING :
No packaging is recommended for the transport of the hood. If repackaged, always attach a copy
of the user manual.
PICTOGRAMS :
Complies with European directives. The declaration of conformity is available on our
website (www.gys.fr).
Machine wash at 40°C, do not use detergent containing chlorine.
