C
Stop use immediately if you have any discomfort.
7.4 The skin colour sensor
Light-based hair removal on darker skin tones may result in
adverse effects such as burns, blisters, and skin colour changes
(hyper- or hypo-pigmentation). Your Silk'n Jewel has a skin
colour sensor that detects the colour of your skin automatically.
The skin colour sensor checks your skin colour at the start of,
and occasionally during, each treatment.
If your skin tone is too dark for safe use, the device will not
a
operate, and the skin colour sensor light will blink.
7.5 What to expect when treating with Silk'n
For many people, using Silk'n Jewel may be their first experience
with a light-based device. During a treatment session it is normal
to experience or feel:
U
Noise: The cooling fan makes noise similar to a hair dryer.
This is normal.
U
A popping sound: With each flash of HPL™ light.
U
A sensation of warmth and tingling: During each light
pulse.
U
Some redness: It is not uncommon to see some very mild,
pink-like skin colouration during or just after a treatment.
This is usually most noticeable around the hairs themselves.
C
Stop use immediately if you see your skin is very red.
C
Contact your physician immediately, if you experience any
complication.
