Installation
• Connect the external power pack (DK 7030.060) to the 24 V power supply connection (Fig. 3,
Pos. 14).
The device start takes approx. 1 minute. During this time, the status display flashes blue in irregular
intervals (Fig. 3, Pos. 3).
The device is operational when the status display lights green continually.
• If, after completion of the switch-on process, the status display flashes red-blue, keep the "C" key
pressed to acknowledge pending messages (Fig. 3, Pos. 1).
The status display then lights green continually and the device is operational.
If the installation is not successful: see Section 1.1.

Network settings
• Connect the device with a network cable using the Ethernet interface to your computer (Fig. 3,
Pos. 11).
Note:
You may need to use a cross-over cable for this purpose.
• Change the IP address of your computer to any address in the range 192.168.0.xxx, e. g.
192.168.0.191. The default address 192.168.0.190 of the device may not be used.
• Set the subnet mask to the value 255.255.255.0.
• If necessary, switch off the proxy server in the browser in order to permit a direct connection to the
device.
• Enter the http://192.168.0.190 address in the browser (Fig. 4, Pos. 1). The login dialogue to login to
the device will be displayed.
• Login as admin user with password admin (Fig. 4, Pos. 2).
• Click the Processing Unit entry in the left-hand subarea of the overview window (Fig. 4, Pos. 3) and
the Configuration tab in the right-hand subarea (Fig. 4, Pos. 4).
• Click the TCP/IP button in the Network group frame (Fig. 4, Pos. 5).
• Change the IP address of the device in the TCP/IP Configuration window to an address permitted
in the network (Fig. 4, Pos. 6).
• To accept the new IP address, switch the device off and on again after a short delay.
• Change the network settings of your computer to their original values of the IP address and the sub-
net mask.
• Now connect the CMC III PU with a network cable with your Ethernet LAN (Fig. 3, Pos. 11).
