Safety instructions

Danger
Always observe the following safety
instructions and the safety
regulations applicable in the
respective country of use!

3.1 Protective cover-related safety instructions

- Leave protective covers fitted. Protective
covers must be in working order and correctly
fitted.
Loose,
protective covers must be repaired or replaced.
- Always use the saw blade protective cover and
the riving knife/splitter for cross cuts. For cross
cuts where the saw blade cuts completely through
the thickness of the workpiece, the protective
cover and other safety devices reduce the risk of
injury.
- After completion of operations (e.g. seaming,
grooving or splitting using the reversal
process) which require removal of the
protective cover and/or riving knife/splitter,
immediately reattach the protective system.
The protective cover and the riving knife/splitter
reduce the risk of injuries.
- Before switching on the power tool, make sure
that the saw blade does not touch the
protective cover, the riving knife/splitter or the
workpiece.
