5.0 Daily use

5.1 Controls
Ignition valve / primary air valve (A)
This valve is used for ignition and in addition to get extra
speed on the breasts when fi lling with new wood. During
continuous fi ring with hard wood such as oak and beech, the
ignition valve can be 0-55% open. When fi ring with soft
woods such as birch and pine, the ignition valve may be
closed.
Setting at normal load: 55%
Flushing air or air valve (B)
The purge air is preheated and supplied to the fi re indirectly.
The purge air also rinses the glass to prevent soot from
forming. If the fl ushing air regulator is turned too far down,
soot may form on the glass. The purge air determines how
much heat you get out of the wood stove.
Setting at normal load: 35 %
5.2 Kindling
Important!
Please note that if too little wood is used for lighting, or if the
wood is too coarsely split, the correct working temperature
will not be reached in the combustion chamber. The result of
an incorrect ignition is poor combustion with strong soot
formation, or that the fi re goes out when the insert door is
closed.
If the house has mechanical ventilation and there is negative
pressure in the house and the fi replace is not fi tted with
outdoor air connection, a nearby window must be opened
before lighting. Leave the window open for a few minutes
until it has caught fi re in the wood.
Place two half-sized wooden blocks on each side of the
bottom of the combustion chamber. NB! To avoid sooting
on glass, it is important that the wood does not lie next to
the glass on the product.
Put kindling briquettes or possibly fi sts from birch wood
between the logs. Add a little cleaved wood crosswise and
light up.

5.3 Function control

When the insert is set up, check the controls. These should
move easily, and work satisfactorily.

5.4 Firing and fi lling of wood
A prerequisite for being able to regulate the stated power
is a thick layer of embers and a high temperature in the
combustion chamber. When the fi re has burned down to
embers, more wood is added. NB! Wear a glove or
similar. then the control handles may become hot.
Open the door ajar and allow the negative pressure in the
combustion chamber to equalize for a few seconds before
opening the oven door completely. This is to avoid smoke
and ash spills. Never add more wood as long as it burns
well.
Load 2 blocks with a total weight of about 1.6 kg. For
optimal combustion, ONLY up to the upper holes in the
back plate must be attached.
Close the door.
The ignition valve and air valve are opened for 2-3
minutes until the wood has charred and burns properly.
After this, the ignition valve and purge air are set to
35-60%, the ignition valve is closed and the air valve is
adjusted to 40-70%.
The prerequisite for regulating the combustion varies
depending on the temperature in the combustion chamber
and the draft in the chimney.
Note It is important to light the wood quickly, and it is
therefore recommended to turn up the combustion air. Firing
with too low a temperature and too little air can, in the worst
case, cause ignition of gases that can damage the wood
stove.
