3.5 Ceiling
The fi replace can be mounted with the upper edge of my hot
air opening min. 550 mm under a roof of combustible material.
See fi g. 1b. Provide ventilation in the top of the fi replace mantel
- e.g. column against ceiling.
3.6 Chimney and fl ue
The fi replace must only be connected to a chimney and fl ue
approved for solid fuel with fl ue gas temperature as specifi ed
in «2.0 Technical data».
The chimney cross section must at least be adapted to
the fi replace. Feel free to use 2.0 Technical data» when
calculationg the correct chimney cross section.
Connection to the chimney must be carried out in accordance
with the chimney supplier's installation instructions.
Before making a hole in the chimney, the fi replace should be
set up for proper marking for the location of the fi replace and
holes in the chimney. See fi g. 1 for minimum measurements.
Make sure that the fl ue rises all the way to the chimney.
Use a fl ue bend with a sweeping hatch to ensure the
possibility of sweeping with rear smokeoutlet.
Be aware that it is extremely important that connections
have a certain fl exibiliy. This is to prevent movements in
the installation leading to cracks.
Recommended chimney draft, see «2.0 Technical data».
For fl ue dimension with associated cross section, see "2.0
Technical data".
NB! The minimum recommended chimney length is 3.5 m
from the fl ue inlet. If the draft is too high, you can install and
operate a fl ue damper to regulate the draft.
No weight must be transferred from the fi replace construction
to the chimney. The fi replace construction must not impede
the chimney's ability to move, and must not be anchored to
the chimney.
Recommended chimney draft, see «2.0 Technical data».
If the draft is too high, you can install and operate a fl ue
damper to regulate the draft.
3.7 The function of the chimney
The chimney is the engine of the fi replace and absolutely
crucial for the function of the product.
The chimney fl ue gives a negative pressure in the product.
This negative pressure removes the smoke from the product
and sucks air through the combustion air damper to the
combustion process. The combustion air also contributes to
the glass rinsing, ie it keeps the glass clean of soot.
The chimney draft occurs as a result of the temperature
diff erence inside and outside the chimney. The greater this
temperature diff erence, the better the chimney draft. It is
therefore important that the chimney reaches operating
temperature before the air valves are adjusted down to limit
combustion (a masonry chimney needs longer before it
reaches operating temperature than a steel chimney).
On days when there is poor draft in the chimney due to
weather and wind conditions, it is extra important to achieve
operating temperature as quickly as possible. Then it is
important to achieve a warm fl ue quickly. Tip! Split the wood
extra fi ne, use an extra kindling block etc.
NB! After a long period of downtime, it is important to check
that there are no blockages in the chimney.

4.0 Mounting

4.1 Preparation / assembly
NB! Make sure that the fi replace is free of damage before
the installation begins. The product is heavy! Provide
assistance when setting up and assembling.
After the insert is unpacked, remove the box with contents. To
facilitate installation, the door is removed.

Open the door.
2.
Fold out the hinge studs (fi g. 3 A-A) and lift off the door.
