13. Maintenance
Check the technical safety of the fog machine and the laser unit regularly, e.g. for damage to the connec-
tion cables or to the casing.
If you have reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it immediately
and make sure it is not operated unintentionally.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• there is visible damage to the devices, remote control or cables
• the devices no longer work
• the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for an extended period of time
• after exposure to extraordinary stress caused by transport
Always observe the following warning notes before cleaning or servicing the devices:
Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or parts are removed (unless this can be
done without tools).
Connection points may also be live.
Before reconciliation, maintenance, repair or replacement of parts or assemblies, the device
must be disconnected from all voltage sources if it has to be opened.
If servicing of or repairs on the opened device are necessary, such must be carried out by a
specialist who is familiar with the risks involved and with the relevant regulations.
Capacitors inside the device may still carry voltage even though they have been disconnected
from all power sources.
a) Fuse Replacement
If you have to replace the fuse, ensure that you only use fuses of the specified type and rated current (see
„Technical Data") as a replacement.
Never repair fuses or bridge the fuse holder.
• After the fog machine is disconnected from the mains (pull mains plug!), carefully remove the safety cap
at the fuse holder (4) with the defective fuse by turning it with a suitable screwdriver.
• Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type.
• Carefully screw the fuse cap with the new fuse back into the fuse holder (4) now.
• After this, you can reconnect the fog machine to the mains and take it into operation.
