Switching the power on and off

To switch the Compact 4 HD on for the first time, the unit needs to be charged. Once the unit
is charged, press the grey on / off button with the orange icon, located at the centre of the
front side of the Compact 4 HD for one second. The unit will start up in the mode in which it
was switched off. To switch off the Compact 4 HD, press the orange button again for one
second.
When switching on the Compact 4 HD, it will take approximately 3 seconds before an image
is displayed on the screen.

Adjusting the magnification

To change the magnification, simply press the + or – buttons located on the right side of the
screen. Press the + button to increase or the – button to decrease the magnification. When
placed on the stand, the magnification range starts at 1.7 times and can be increased to 12
times. The Compact 4 HD is equipped with an auto-focus camera. This allows you to use the
Compact 4 HD Viewer without the stand while holding the Viewer in your hands. This will
provide more overview, but will decrease the minimum and maximum magnification,
depending on the distance of the viewer to the object or text.
