• Defrosting: IMPORTANT! The machine
has to be manually defrosted.
When ice formation on the walls exceeds a
thickness of 0.5 cm, the storage unit should
be defrosted in order not to compromise
its thermal performance. Proceed as
follows:
• Remove the plug from the electrical
socket.
• Transfer the product to another suitable
device.
• Put a bin under the water drainage at the
bottom of the appliance (9).
• Leave out the caps (8) and let the internal
ice get melted: dry it up carefully.
• When the storage unit compartments are
completely dry, insert the plug into the
electrical socket.
• Wait for the device to reach its operating
temperature before replacing the ice
cream.
• Never use a metal or sharp object to
remove the ice: this might damage the
compartment.
• Efficiency. To maintain the device
efficiency operation, clean the condenser
regularly. This operation falls outside
normal maintenance and should be
performed by a qualified technician, who
should proceed as follows:
• Remove the plug from the electrical
socket.
• Clean the condenser with air jet or suction
device to avoid damaging the device.
• Restart the storage unit.
POSSIBLE PROBLEMS
The appliance is not running,
programmer is not light up.
• The plug has not been connected to
power supply socket.
• Main button is switched off.
The countertop is not running,
programmer is light up.
• The storage unit has been turned off and
you tried to restart it immediately. Try again
after at least 10 minutes. WARNING:
repeated turning on and off of the
compressor without a pause of at least 10

minutes may damage it permanently.
Compressor stay always switched on,
or it switch on and off frequently.
• The room temperature is higher than
30°C.
• An excessive quantity of ice cream has
been put on the machine and the mass has
not yet reach the correct temperature.
• The ventilation grills do not have enough
space around it.
Vibrations.
• Check that the storage unit is level.
The storage unit makes too much noise.
• The noise may come from the circulation
of the refrigerant, which is normal.
• Contraction and expansion of the inner
walls may cause creaking.
• The storage unit is not in a leveLled
position.
The electronic programmer is not
running correctly.
• If the display show an error message
different from the warning described in this
manual, contact an Authorized Service
Centre.
