Driver software installation

Windows 98 / Windows Me

Insert the supplied CD-ROM (VFF0128 or VFF0129) into the DVD-RAM/R
drive.
The installation program starts automatically.
•
If the installation program does not start automatically, start it manually by following the proce-
dure below.
(This assumes that the drive letter assigned to the DVD-RAM/R drive for CD-ROM media is E:.)
From the Start menu select [Run].
In the "Open" box, enter "e:\setup.exe".
Click [OK].
The installation program starts.

Click [Installation software for
DVD-RAM/R drive].
•
For installation of application soft-
ware, refer to pages 98, 104, or 112.

When the dialog at right is displayed,
select "Driver Soft (Mandatory)".
•
Select the applications you want to install.
•
The Q&A file is installed if you click on "Q&A"
(refer to page 124).
Click on [Install].
Installation begins.
•
Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.

After installation,
Select "Yes, I want to restart my com-
puter now".
Click [Finish].
The computer now reboots.
•
You can use the DVD-RAM/R drive after
rebooting.
•
To verify that the drivers were installed correctly,
refer to "Checks after installation" on pages 46
