The control buttons can be assigned
with different functions depending
on the monitor display. The
functions of the buttons are
indicated by a display superimposed
at the bottom edge of the monitor.
Video memory button
If new pictures have been saved,
the door release button lights up
at the telephone. Pressing the
Enter button causes the last saved
picture to be displayed.
If the button is pressed again, the
next picture is displayed.
SD card
An additional SD card can be
inserted at the top of the device
which has a memory capacity of
between 32 MB and 2 GB; in the
as-delivered status, a dummy card
is inserted to protect the unit from
dust. The memory card is used
• to extend the unit's internal
video memory and
• to transmit the pictures to a PC
with the aid of the relevant
reading unit.
Also with a memory capacity of
more than 256 MB, the SD card is
able to store a maximum of 255
pictures in *.tif format with a
resolution of 640 x 480 pixel and a
file size of appr. 1 MB. When the
memory capacity is exhausted, or
the maximum number of pictures
has been saved, the oldest picture
is overwritten every time a new
one is taken. With the card
inserted, the SD card symbol is
displayed at the top of the screen.
The following displays are possible:
SD card correctly detected
Initializing SD card
Card faulty or write
protected
Write/Read process
Do not remove the SD card during
the write and read process.To
format the SD card, use the bus
telephone. If you wish to format it
at the PC, use the FAT 16 format.
Main menu
To access the main menu, press
the Enter button and select Menu
at the bottom line of the monitor
using the control button.
