SISSEL Special 2 in 1
Comfortable sitting wedge for healthy and ergonomic sitting with the added extra of targeted relief of
strain on the sacrum and coccyx.
Function / Indication
®
The SISSEL 2 in 1 Sitting Wedge is a multi-functional ergonomic wedge for use in rehabilitation, physiotherapy and at
home for many medical indications. These include the treatment, relief and prevention of posture-related muscular
imbalance and back pain, balance training and pregnancy exercises (therapeutic applications must only be perfor-
med under supervision or instruction from professionals)
I The wedge is an aid to correct posture because it is tilted and therefore positions the knees below the pelvis.
This posture corrects many posture-related problems and it relieves pressure on the spine and intervertebral
discs.
I The special design with its in-built central divider ensures the legs are slightly spread which has a beneficial
effect on posture.
I The two depressions for the sitting bones improve the ergonomics. The comfortable material makes the
wedge pleasant to use and the non-slip base ensures stability.

The 2 in 1 Sitting Wedge has a removable cut-out for the coccyx. It is therefore particularly suitable for
use after operations (sacrum or coccyx) Also for use by patients suffering from significant pressure or pain
sensitivity in these areas (anatomical abnormality of the coccyx etc.)
Contraindication
Patients with insufficient compliance, patients with unexplained medical conditions or complaints, those
with unstable fractures of the spine or pelvis etc.
Use
I For daily use as a sitting support on a sturdy surface, i.e. chair, bench or stool. Not suitable for use on
soft furnishings, e.g. armchair or sofa.
I Dynamic sitting under direct supervision or independently after instruction from medical professionals.
Material and Care
I Material: Polyurethane foam with a visco elastic foam cut-out. Hand wash only. Air dry, do not dry
on radiators or in direct sunlight (color will fade!)
I Cover: Polyester with a slip-resistant PVC backing, machine washable at 40° C, please read the
label.
I Storage: If the filling is exposed to direct sunlight without a cover it may become discolored
(yellowish) but the wedge will still be functional.
