THE CHOICE OF PLUNGER
Important : Using the right plunger will boost your results. The DripFlow plunger
(grey and white) is intended to slight and medium fluids, whereas the blue SWFLOW
plunger is intended to thick and fibrous fluids. Read the paragraphs below of the
following pages for more details concerning plungers and their applications.
SLIGHT FLUIDS
Several problems can occur when we try to pass thicker
fluids. The two most common problems are tunnelling
and trapped air. First, tunnels occur when repetitive
compressed air rebounds dig holes in non-leveling fluids
causing irregulars dispenses. Secondly, thicker fluids are
made of microscopic air bubbles which is at the origin of
seepages and irregulars dispenses.
The DRIPFLOW plunger eradicates those problems. The
plunger grey or white prevents the formation of tunnels
by providing a barrier between fluids and compressed
air rebounds. Moreover, they prevent also seepages by
creating slight movements backwards after the cycle of
dispense. The plungers white or grey are used for a wide
range of fluids.
There are several advantages of using DRIPFLOW plunger
for fluids of low and medium viscosity :
• the plunger act as a barrier between the fluid and
the dispenser. The syringe protects employees from
potential chemical contact.
• The fineness of the venture system setting is more
accurate.
The plunger allows a straw effect and keeps the fluid in
the syringe when the cap is removed.
Thicker fluids such as the RTV silicone tends to provoke
an important pressure in the syringe on several cycles
of dispense. This pressure can be at the origin of the
plunger's rebound causing tensions at the end of the
cycle of dispense. The SWFlow pistons are slightly smaller
in diameter, allowing faster release of residual pressures
stored by the product.
