Instructions for Use
Multicontroller 7093
General aspects
Multicontroller 7093 is an electronic control device for Turbelle
electronic pumps 7210 (P), 7310 (P), 7410 (P), and their variants.
Elder versions of Turbelle
connected to the multicontroller by means of adapter cable 7092.24.
Each of the four ports can be connected up to one Turbelle
electronic by means of cable connector 7092.30 or to two Turbelle
®
electronic by means of branch adapter 7092.34, thus producing
a maximum number of eight pumps to be controlled.
Installation
For installation select a dry place protected against splash water
and moisture (please do not mount above the aquarium). Please
observe the cable length of the cable connector to your pump drivers
as they must not be extended. In addition, please ensure that the
photo-electric cell has to be placed in the illumination area of your
aquarium lighting (cf. day-and-night change-over function).
The device can be attached to a smooth surface (e.g. plastic
surface) by means of the self-adhesive Velcro tape attached.
Remove the release paper from the tape and press it against the
housing with the adhesive surface against the smooth surface.
Connection and preparation of the initial operation
Prior to any dis/connection of the cable connectors to your Turbelle
®
electronic, always remove the power supply unit of the pumps
from the mains socket outlet or de-energise.
Use the 5-pole cable connector enclosed to connect the
multicontroller to the driver of Turbelle
®
7240.22 of the Turbelle
electronic sets (7200 / 7400), please use
adapter 7090.24 instead of the cable connector.
If a coding plug is connected to the driver of your pump, remove
this plug first. If you are using a driver which does not need a
coding plug for the operation without the multicontroller,
please set the "Power" button on your driver to 100 % and the
"Pulse" button to off. Otherwise the functions of the driver
and the multicontroller superimpose each other, which may
cause the standstill of the pump (superimposition of two
power settings). The resulting wear damage will cause an
exclusion of guarantee.

the mains socket outlet. The multicontroller is now ready for pulsed
operation, which will be indicated by the lit foodtimer LED (2). In
addition, the two LEDs on the buttons 4a/6a or 4b/6b (cf. Fig. 1),
respectively, will be flashing in the cycle of the pulse time set. The
®
yellow LEDs on ports (8) to (11) indicate whether a control
signal is released at the port or whether the pump is running,
respectively.
Functions
Pulsed operation or wave simulation (Figs. 1 and 3)
The pulsed operation produces biologically active flow pulses
(waves). For each channel two different performance adjustments
can be set on buttons 4a / 4b and 6a / 6b, which change over in the
cycle of the pulse time set on button (1). The pulse time can be set
from approx. 1 to 3 seconds.
For the pulsed operation, slide (13) has to be brought into the
middle position. Pumps can be connected to ports (8) and (9) for
channel 1. Ports (10) and (11) have been provided for channel 2.
Note: The pulsed operation will work only, if at least one pump is
connected to port (8) or (10). Pumps connected to one channel
have the same pulse heights and depths corresponding to the
adjustment on buttons 4a / 4b and 6a / 6b. If a pulsed operation is
not desired on one or both channels during the day, turn the pulse
controller on button (1) to off position whilst the LED is lit between
4b and 6b. The pumps will then operate without pulse during the
day. This is the only way to ensure that the pump will be operated
with the requested performance after a longer power failure.
Pulsed operation in the same direction or in the
opposite direction
For channel 1 and channel 2 the power of the pulsed flow can be
adjusted in the same direction by controllers 4a = 6a and 4b = 6b
or in the opposite direction by controllers 4a = 6b and 4b = 6a or
according to own ideas (cf. Fig. 3).
