2. Clean the device's baking surfaces with a soft, damp cloth/sponge and, if applicable,
a small amount of detergent. Dry the baking surfaces with a soft dish towel.
3. Place the device on a dry, heat-resistant and level surface at a suffi cient distance to
other objects or the wall.
4. Insert the mains plug in a 220 – 240 V earthed socket with protective earth contacts
which has been installed in compliance with regulations. Make sure that the cord
is not caught between the baking surfaces! The device is now heating up. Let it
heat up for a few minutes to remove any production residue.
5. Turn the device off by pulling the mains plug out of the socket.
6. Allow the device to cool off and then clean it again.
Inserting/changing the baking surfaces
ATTENTION!
❐ Burn hazard! The baking surfaces become very hot when in use. Always pull the mains
plug out of the socket and let the device cool off before changing the baking surfaces!

faces and when removing the baked goods, be careful not to touch the baking surfaces!
❐ The device must always be in a horizontal position during operation and the lid must
be closed.
❐ Scalding hazard! Steam may be emitted from the device. Be careful when opening
or closing the device.

Every baking surface has its own release button (see
image A and B).

In order to remove the baking surface in the cover, push
the release button on the lid (A) and remove the baking
surface.

In order to remove the bottom baking surface, push the
release button on the bottom part of the device (B) and
remove the baking surface.

When inserting the baking surfaces, you have to take note of
the shape of the baking surfaces. Each baking surface has
a small groove on one side indicating in what direction the
baking surfaces have to be inserted in the device (see arrow
in the image); it makes no difference which baking surface
you insert in the cover or in the lower part of the device. If the
baking surfaces have been inserted the right away around,
you have to push them until they audibly lock into place.
