WING LIGHTING
168. Tape the string to the lead from the navigation light. Use the
string to pull the lead through the wing.
Use a helper to assist in guiding the lead
through the wing to avoid excessive pulling and
possibly separating the string and lead.
The green light goes on the right wing
tip, the red on the left wing tip.
The location of the lights is shown on
the three-view on page 124.
169. Use a small amount of silicone adhesive to glue the
navigation light in the wing tip.
170. Tape the string to the lead from the landing light. Use the
string to pull the lead through the wing. Secure the landing
light using two M2 x 6 sheet metal screws.
Use a helper to assist in guiding the lead
through the wing to avoid excessive pulling and
possibly separating the string and lead.
171. Glue the cover over the landing light using canopy glue. Use
low tack tape to hold the cover in place until the adhesive
fully cures.
Repeat this section to install the remaining
light in the opposite wing panel.

WING AND WING STRUT INSTALLATION
172. Slide the wing tubes into the wing tube sockets.
The wing tubes may be a tight fit in the sockets.
Polishing the wing tubes with fine sand paper or steel
wool will help ease the installation of the wing tubes.
173. Slide the wing into position on the fuselage. Guide the leads
for the ailerons, fl aps and lighting into the fuselage. Connect
the leads for the aileron and fl ap.
When installing the wing and struts, we recommend placing
the model inverted on a flat surface. Use blankets or towels
to prevent damage to the top of the wing or fuselage.
174. Secure the wing to the fuselage using two M6 x 50 socket
head bolts and two M6 washers.
Do not overtighten the screws and compress
the wood structure of the fuselage.
Repeat the previous steps to attach
the remaining wing panel.
175. Attach the strut fi tting near the aileron to the bottom of the
wing using two M4 x 20 socket head cap screws. Apply a
drop of thread lock on each screw before tightening. Install
both fi ttings to the wing.
Do not overtighten the screws and
compress the wing sheeting.
176. Thread the jury strut mounts into the holes in the wing. The
threads will be barely visible. Do not thread the mounts into
the wing.
The final position of the jury strut mounts will
be adjusted when installing the jury struts.
Place a drop of canopy glue on the screws before
installation. This will keep the mounts from vibrating loose.
