How to use the cable tie installation tool

Use the tension adjustment knob to select your desired tension setting, by moving the
thumb lever forward.

Apply a HellermannTyton cable tie around the bundle.

Insert the strap of the cable tie through the side opening of the nosepiece.

Place the front of the nosepiece flush to the head of the cable tie.

Pull the trigger until the cable tie tensions and cuts.
Tension lock-in feature

Adjust the tension knob to the desired tension setting.

Remove the screw in the thumb lever using a standard T8 Torx Driver.

Place the Torx screw in front of the thumb lever to lock the setting.
Replacement of blades
Caution Take care when replacing the blades There is danger of injury

Remove the screw from the nosepiece using a Phillips screwdriver and discard the screw.

Slide the nosepiece off and remove.

Remove and discard the blade carefully (Blade may be SHARP).

Install the new blade by aligning the chamfered (bevelled) corner with the housing.

Slide the nosepiece over the blade.

Install the new screw. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
Presetting of the tension force
EVO7 / EVO7SP offers the possibility to preset the tension cut off forces.
Align the calibration tool UNS: 110-70089) with the back of the adjustment knob.

Hold the calibration tool flush to the end of the adjustment knob to ensure all 3 posts are
locked into the cap. Rotate the calibration tool counterclockwise to unlock.

Remove the cap from the knob.

Insert the small end of the calibration tool into the knob and align with the holes in the
tension adjustment nut.

Rotate the calibration tool clockwise to increase the tension. Rotate counterclockwise to
decrease the tension.

After calibration is complete, replace the cap by turning it clockwise until it stops.
