In order to comply with safety regulations and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical
appliances must be carried out by qualified personnel, including the replacement of the

Before using for the first time
- Remove any exterior and interior packaging materials, which are all suitable for
recycling.
- After unpacking and every time before connecting the unit to the power supply, check
the appliance and its power cord carefully for any signs of damage. Also ensure that the
door (including the inspection window and door locks) is not damaged or bent and closes
firmly against its support. In addition, the entire casing as well as the inside of the oven
must be carefully checked.
In the event of any damage, the appliance must not be used until it has been repaired by
a qualified technician.
- Place the base rack inside the appliance.
- Before using the appliance for the first time, let it heat up at the grill setting for 10
minutes (without activating the steam function). When the appliance is switched on for
the first time, a slight smell may be emitted. Therefore, ensure proper ventilation.
General operating sequence
- Fill the water container to its max marking with clean, fresh water.
- Place the base rack inside the appliance.
- Place the drip tray onto the base rack.
- Place the steam-cooking tray or the grill rack with the food to be cooked inside the
appliance.
- Close the door.
- Select the desired programme and start the cooking process.

Operation
General
When any control button is pressed, the correct input is acknowledged by a beep signal. Any
incorrect or invalid input is indicated by a double beep.
Setting the clock
The clock uses a 12-hour display format. Once the unit has been connected to the power
supply, the display shows 12:00.
The clock must be set when the appliance is connected for the first time, and also after a
power failure has reset the clock.
