Hob control switch

Residual heat indicator:

When you turn off the hot plate after use, an indicator light on the hob will be lit when the plate is
still hot. This will only turn off when the plate has cooled completely.
CAUTION: TO AVOID ANY RISK OF BURNS, do not touch the hob while the residual heat indicator is lit.
NOTE: During initial use, your hot plates may emit a light smoke and odour. This is normal in new
appliances.
Use flat pans with a diameter similar to that of the hot plate.
Do not put anything between hot plate and the pan.
Take particular care not to use excessively small pans for liquids, as they may quickly boil over.
Nor should pans be excessively wide for quick cooking. In fact, fats and juices could run over the side and
easily burn.

Precautions for use:

1. Use a deep pan, large enough to completely cover the cooking area.
2. Never fill more than a third of the pan with oil.
3. Never leave oil or fat to heat unattended.
4. Never fry too much food at one time.
5. It is very important to ensure food is well dried before immersing it in oil or fat, in order to avoid spitting,
which could cause serious burns.
6. Never heat fat, or fry in a covered pan.
7. Keep the outside of the pan clean and without oil or fat residue.
