PRE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

You must vent your portable air conditioner when operating in cooling mode. Your unit
includes a window exhaust kit that can be installed on a horizontal or vertical sliding win-
dow as shown in the picture below.
Please follow the installation instructions carefully to ensure maximum efficiency and to
avoid personal injury or damage.
Before operating your air conditioner:
Identify a suitable installation location:
• The air conditioner should be placed on a firm foundation to minimize noise
and vibration. For safe and secure positioning, place the unit on a smooth, level
floor strong enough to support the unit.
• The unit must be placed within reach of a properly grounded socket.
• Never place any obstacles around the air inlet or outlet of the unit.
• Allow 12 to 40 inches of space between the back of the unit and the wall for
efficient air-conditioning.
Make sure that you have all the parts necessary for installation (included):
Refer to the parts list on page 8. Contact Customer Support if any parts are
missing from the box.
Gather the following suggested tools shown below for the installation process (not
included):
Phillips screwdriver
Tape measure
Flat-head screwdriver
Scissors
