Call number display (CLIP
If this feature is available on your telephone line, the phone number
of the caller appears when the telephone rings. . Chapter 9
If the caller has suppressed transmission of his phone number, a
corresponding message appears in the display. In this case, the
phone number is not displayed and, as a result, is not stored in the
calls log.
The CLIP (caller number display) function is an optional
service offered by telephone network providers. Contact
your provider for further information.
Answering machine in the telephone network
If your telephone network provider has an answering machine avail-
able for you in the telephone network, an envelope icon (VMWI
indicates new messages have been recorded for you. The answe-
ring machine in the telephone network is an optional service offered
by your telephone network provider. Contact your network provider
for further information.
To remove the envelope icon from the display, select the CLEAR
MSG WAIT option from the menu. . Page 149
