Installation and operating instructions Wilo-VeroLine-IP-Z
There may be a slight amount of drip leakage during the running-in
period. However, a weekly visual inspection is required. If there is
clearly detectable leakage, the seal is to be changed. Wilo offers a
repair kit which contains the necessary parts for replacement.
Replacing/dismantling the mechanical seal:
• Disconnect the system from the power and secure it against being
switched on.
• Close the shut-off devices in front of and behind the pump.
• Dismantle the motor as described in Section 9.1 "Changing the motor"
on page 24.
• Remove the circlip (Item 1.15) from the shaft.
• Remove the impeller (Item 1.11) from the shaft.
• Remove the mechanical seal (Item 1.21) from the shaft.
• Remove the discharge cover (1.31)
• Push the stationary ring of the mechanical seal out of its seating in the
discharge cover and then clean the seating surfaces.
• Clean the seating surfaces of the shaft carefully.
Installing the mechanical seal:
• Insert the new stationary ring.
• Push the new mechanical seal (Item 1.21) onto the shaft.
