required.
∙ This stone is entirely natural material.
Small cracks resulting from natural
expansion and contraction during heating
and cooling, as well as a change to a
darker colour are normal and have no
detrimental effects.
∙ Do not place any frozen food or items
containing vinegar (such as pickled
gherkins or mustard) on the stone.
Reversible grill plate
∙ Fit the reversible grill plate next to the
stone on the appliance.
∙ With the smooth side up, the reversible
grill plate can be used for grilling in the
normal way. With the ribbed side facing
upwards, the grill plate can be used for
grilling in the normal way. The grill plate
should be lightly greased before use. The
reverse side is suitable for cooking 4 small
crêpes or pancakes.
Variable thermostat and indicator light
∙ If the thermostat control is set all the way
to the right, the heating element remains
on. But if the thermostat is moved to the
left, the element will switch off and on
alternately.
∙ The red indicator light remains lit as long
as the heating element is on.
∙ After use, return the thermostat to its
lowest setting and unplug the appliance
from the mains supply.
Operation
Hint: For the very best results, meat
should be taken from the refrigerator
about half an hour before grilling, covered
and left to stand.
∙ Place the grill stone and the reversible
grill plate on the unit, ensuring that the
rounded corners are facing out.
∙ Insert the plug into a suitable wall socket
and turn the thermostat all the way to the
right.
∙ Let the appliance preheat for about
10 minutes to reach the required
temperature. However, the grill stone
requires a pre-heating time of around 25
minutes.
∙ Place the food to be cooked on the
reversible grill plate or on the stone, as
required. The reversible grill plate can
also be used for preparing crêpes or
pancakes.
∙ Put the raclette cheese into the
mini-pans. Place the mini-pans in the
appliance, under the heating element,
and leave them until the cheese has
melted.
∙ Warning: Do not place empty mini-pans
in the appliance while it is switched on.
∙ When cooking is fi nished, turn the
thermostat all the way to the left and
unplug the appliance from the mains.
How to prepare raclette cheese
Use about 200 to 300 grammes of cheese
per person. Cut the cheese into slices of
about 3 to 5 mm thickness and put them into
the mini-pans. It is preferable to use original
