INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION AND USE
FOREWORD
Congratulations on purchasing our
equipment. If you follow carefully the present
instructions you will certainly be satisfied
with its performance and guarantee.
Please, be informed that, in the event of
claims or remarks, the reference text remains
the original one in the manufacturer's native
language, that is, the Italian version.
1. GUARANTEE
The appliance is guaranteed for twelve (12)
months, from the date of purchase of the
appliance or of the relevant part. The
guarantee consists in the replacement of any
part that proves faulty for manufacturing
causes. It is enforced by the supplier directly.
In-guarantee labour, freight and packing
costs, as well as transportation risks must be
born by the purchaser. The guarantee is
valid only if the faulty parts are sent back
CARRIAGE PAID, along with the
information on the model, serial number
and defect of the machine the part was
assembled onto. The guarantee does not
apply to machines that were damaged due to
incompetence
or
misconnection, incorrect installation, non-
compliance with the instructions for
assembly and use, nor does it apply to
machines that were tampered with by
unauthorised personnel. The guarantee does
not cover machines whose serial number
appears to have been altered, erased or
removed. The guarantee does not apply to
the following items: parts that are liable to
normal wear like motors, reduction gears,
electrical and electronic components, roller
covers.
2. INTRODUCTION
The present manual was drawn up in a
simple and logical manner in order for the
reader to get to know the appliance
thoroughly. Please, read it carefully and
keep it near the machine at all times. The
advice and instructions contained in this
manual cannot cover every possible
contingency. This is why it is important to
keep in mind that common sense and caution
cannot be supplied by the manufacturer
along with the appliance, but must be
provided by those in charge of its installation,
maintenance and use. Whoever carries out
machine maintenance, be it the owner or an
unqualified person, will be liable for any
ensuing personal injury or property damage.
Whoever operates this appliance must read
this manual and abide by it. In case of
repairs
the
manufacturer
recommends the use of original spare parts.
As for ordering these, reference is made to
paragraph 8.4.
The descriptions and sketches reported in
this manual do not bind the manufacturer,
who reserves the right to update them and/
or include any upgrading modification of
parts and fittings at any time and with no
previous notice if this is deemed necessary
for manufacturing or commercial purposes.
3. WARNING, PRESCRIPTIONS,
RESTRICTIONS AND OTHER USES
The operation of any electric or electronic
appliance entails compliance with certain
basic rules and in this case particularly: do
not touch the machine with damp or wet
hands or feet; do not use it while barefoot, do
not expose it to atmospheric agents like
rain, salt, salinity, etc. Do not allow machine
operation by children or incapacitated
without proper supervision. Do not iron
fabrics that are not heat-resistant, at high
temperatures. Do not iron layers of linen
thicker than 8 mm or linen that is not
suitable for this type of ironer, or wet items
with humidity exceeding the recommended
limit. Do not smoke near the machine or
while it is in use. Do not override or by-pass
safety devices. Do not rest anything on the
top of the appliance, not even after switching
it off, because the press basin takes long to
carelessness,
cool. Do not clean the machine by spilling
water directly or indirectly over it and
therefore, install far from areas in which
these events are likely to occur.
Read the technical instructions before
installing the furnace.
Read the instructions for the user before
starting the furnace.
The appliance may only be installed in an
environment that meets the necessary
ventilation requirements.
The user is not entitled to tamper with the
sealed components of the machine.
Any jobs or adjustments affecting
components of the gas system need to be
done by a qualified and licensed technician.
Removing or altering machine seals
invalidates the guarantee of the appliance.
The gas-heated machines need to be installed
and started up by a qualified and licensed
technician, who will verify proper
installation and combustion values by the
use of appropriate equipment.
Only licensed technicians are allowed to
perform adjustments involving sealed parts,
like in the case of gas conversion or a similar
requirement. They will then restore the
seals on the adjusted parts and issue a
mandatory report, which needs to be
preserved with the machine's manual.
CAUTION!
ANY USE NOT SPECIFICALLY
warmly
MENTIONED HERE BELOW MUST BE
CONSIDERED AS HAZARDOUS. THE
MANUFACTURER DECLINES ALL

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE INSTALLER
4. HANDLING, UNPACKING AND
STORING

4.1. TRANSPORT

To handle and/or ship the machine, follow
carefully the ensuing recommendations:
When carrying the appliance into a building,
use its pallet or a similar platform; use a
manual or electric fork lift that meets the
required hoisting capacity and is suitable
for handling such appliances (see technical
data on page 89).
The ironer can be lifted, if the available
space recommends it, using the supplied
ringbolts, which must be screwed at the
holes existing on the top side of the machine,
as shown in figure 1, page 87.
When hoisting, strictly comply with all the
safety measures that need to be implemented
when dealing with overhead weights: also
ensure that the hoisting equipment is
adequate for the required capacity and in
good condition (cfr. weights in the technical
details table, page 89). When handling,
exercise the utmost caution; avoid sharp
and dangerous manouvers that may entail
personal injury or property damage. Correct
handling is best performed by the use of
belts or chains of adequate capacity, which
must be able to apply a vertical lifting
movement. To this respect, it is possible to
place a stiff beam of adequate strength
between the machine and the hoisting
equipment, as shown in figure 2, page 87.
The manufacturer disclaims responsibility
for any damage to the machine resulting
from incorrect handling.
Check that the ironer can surmount any
existing obstacles or narrow passages (like
staircases, doors, etc.). Never drag the
appliance by a side or by any other part.
To ensure sufficient stability during
transportation, dispatch the machine in its
original packing material.
4.2 STORING
In case of long-term machine warehousing
before installation, keep it in its original
package, as this guarantees best protection.
Check that room conditions correspond to
those mentioned in section 5.3. If the
equipment is laid up for a long period after
use, make sure that its plug is physically
disconnected from the power socket and
protect it from dust.
4.3 UNPACKING
Prior to accepting the equipment from the
carrier, check the packaging for damage. If
