Transducer service

In the following procedures screw in each screw to the torque value of 5 N.m (45 in.lb

8.3.1
LF loudspeaker service
If damaged, an LF loudspeaker should be removed and replaced as described below.
LF loudspeaker removing procedure
1. Remove the grill: unscrew the 2 hex screws located on both enclosure sides, grab both grill sides at the screw
locations and pull them one against the other, remove the grill from the enclosure.
2. Remove the damaged 6.5'' loudspeaker: unscrew the 4 hex screws and well as the standard and Grower
washers, slightly lift up the external side using a flat screwdriver, lift up the internal side, remove the
loudspeaker paying attention not to damage the electrical socket.
3. Disconnect both red and black cables from the loudspeaker electrical socket.
LF loudspeaker replacing procedure
1. Connect both cables to the new LF loudspeaker electrical socket: connect the red cable to the red-labelled pin
and the black cable to the unlabelled pin.
2. Install the LF loudspeaker: insert the electrical socket towards exterior under the cabinetry and then put the
loudspeaker other side in place (near the waveguide).
3. Screw the 4 loudspeaker hex screws: into each hex screw insert a Grower washer and then a standard washer
(following this order) and screw the assembly to one of the four locations.
4. Install the grill:
a.
Pull both grill sides one against the other.
b. Place both lugs facing the corresponding locations near the waveguide, the logo oriented towards
the right side of the enclosure (i.e. towards the locking mechanism side).
c.
Pull both grill sides down so as to install the grill into the enclosure, paying attention for the tissue to
slide along the inside of the cabinetry.
d. Screw the 2 hex screws on each side of the enclosure.
8.3.2
HF driver or diaphragm service
HF driver or diaphragm removing procedure
1. Remove the connector cover: unscrew the 6 hex screws, slightly lift up the connector cover, remove the
white connector, and remove the connector cover.
2. Disconnect the 2 cables from the HF driver electrical socket.
3. To only remove the diaphragm: unscrew the 4 Phillips
out from the magnet.
To remove the full HF driver: unscrew the 4 hex screws and washers from the heat dissipation plate, remove
the HF assembly from the enclosure, unscrew the 2 hex screws located on the rear face of the HF assembly,
remove the driver from the heat dissipation plate.
