Safety instructions

Daily operation

D The appliance is for commercial use and may only be operated
− by trained personnel,
− when the drain tap is closed,
− with the tank filled as specified,
− if the appliance is supervised,
− for the purpose designated in the instruction manual.
D Do not use the appliance as a storage or work surface.
D The user alone is responsible for damage caused by use contrary to the intended use.
D If you cannot remedy malfunctions with the help of page 15 chapter 5. "Faults and remed­
ies", switch off the appliance and notify the customer service.

Risk of injury

D Caution: the appliance is hot during use.
D Take care when removing the containers: the containers are hot. Hot air or steam may es­
cape as the containers are removed.
Risk of damage
D CAUTION The tank can be damaged by overheating. Therefore
− you must never heat the unit with no water in the tank and
− must always switch it off before emptying it.
D Do not pour cold water into an empty heated tank. The sudden change in temperature will
cause severe stresses and may damage the unit.
D Food must not be placed directly into the bain marie's tank. Food may only be heated or
kept warm in stainless steel containers or Gastronorm containers made of stainless steel.
D Containers must not be stood on the base of the tank. Containers must be suspended or
stood on the trivet. Use only stainless steel containers.
D CAUTION Corrosion or pitting damage to the tank may be caused by salty water or cleaning
materials. You should therefore empty the tank before any break in working. Do not leave
detergents in the tank for a long time. Remove the trivet after draining and cleaning and
rinse the tank and trivet thoroughly with clean water.
D Do not spray off or clean the appliance with water hoses, high-pressure cleaners, high-pres­
sure steam cleaners or general steam cleaners.
D Do not spray foam cleaner on front panels and appliance panels. The foam cleaner gets into
the smallest of cracks and destroys the electrical and electronic systems.
D If the appliance has not been used for some time, have after-sales service check it for cor­
rect operation.
