5.0 Maintenance

Provided it is used in accordance with the Instruction Manual, the
instrument needs no special maintenance. If it should become
soiled in the course of daily use, it may be cleaned with a damp
cloth and a little mild household detergent.
Never use aggressive cleaners, or solvents.
To maintain accuracy, the instrument must regularly calibrated by
our Service Department. We recommend annual calibration.

5.1 Changing the battery

If the symbol "
display, the battery must be changed. Clamp Adapter CHB 10
LED "Low Battery" gives light.
This is carried out as follows:
1. Separate the Clamp Meters from any circuit, and remove the
test leads.
2. Switch the instrument off.
3. Open the cover by removing the screw on the rear face.
4. Remove the old battery.
5. Fit new batteries (type 1,5 V IEC LR03), taking care that the
polarity is correct. Make sure that no wires are trapped between
the cover, and close it again.
6. The instrument is now ready for further use.
Please think of our environment when you dispose of your used
batteries. They belong in a rubbish damp or a retuse collection
place for hazardous waste.
Please, comply with the appropriate regulations concerning
the return, recycling and disposal of used batteries.
ATTENTION !
If the instrument is likely to remain unused for a long period,
the battery must be removed. If a battery should leak inside
the housing, return the instrument to our works for cleaning
and checking.
