Temperature sensor
• For precise temperature monitoring the appliance is equipped with a temperature sensor. The position is marked
by a small circle on the glass ceramic surface.
• For optimal temperature monitoring the cookware must cover this circle. The induction cooktop display indicates
the current temperature of the food being cooked. For technical reasons it is possible that the displayed temperature
may not correspond 100% to the actual temperature (e.g. if the pot is nearly full). In this case the temperature
display can be adjusted as follows:
– Switch the induction cooktop on without cookware on the Ceran surface.
– Press and hold the TIMER button (10) for about 3 seconds. As soon as the word PROGR M flashes on the
display, the appliance is in temperature display setting mode.
– Press the + or – button (9) of the induction cooktop to set the displayed temperature precisely in a range
from -31°C to +31°C. We recommend using a kitchen thermometer to measure the temperature of the food
being cooked. Adjust the temperature display of the induction cooktop as follows:
If the temperature of the food is 5°C lower than displayed by the induction cooktop, set the display to -5.
If the temperature of the food is 5°C higher than displayed by the induction cooktop, set the display to +5.
– Save the set value by pressing the TEMP button (14) for about 3 seconds until the word PROGR M stops
flashing. The value is saved in the induction unit and will be used even after switching the appliance on and
off, until you recalibrate the temperature display.
– Press and hold the TIMER button (10) for about 3 seconds to return to the normal operating mode. You can
now place cookware on the induction cooktop.
• To reset the temperature display to +/- 0, enter setting mode and save the starting value 0 by pressing and holding
the TEMP button (14).
Note: The exact temperature is dependent on various factors. The temperature can vary depending on the food
being cooked and the cookware used. If necessary, recalibrate the appliance.
