Intended purpose
Juzo Easy Fit is a donning and doffing aid for medical
compression stockings. The donning and doffing aid is
particularly suitable for people with restricted mobility. It not
only simplifies the process of putting on and taking off your
medical compression stockings, but also gives you additio-
nal peace of mind: by using it, you avoid strenuous bending,
and the risk of falling is reduced. The donning and doffing
aid is also gentle both on your skin and the knitted fabric
of your compression stocking. It stretches the stocking
beforehand to make it easier to put it on. And the stocking
clasp simplifies the process of taking it off.
Notes for use
The Juzo Easy Fit donning and doffing aid is particularly
suitable for compression class 1 and 2 phlebological com-
pression stockings. Your specialist retailer will be happy to
show you the correct way to use the product. You can
also visit juzo.com/donning for video instructions
relating to all Juzo donning aids. Put your compression
garment on the decongested leg in the morning right after
getting up. Rough, unfiled finger nails or sharp-edged rings
etc. may damage the very fine knitted fabric. We therefore
recommend the use of Juzo special gloves. Toe nails and
calluses can also cause damage, as can the defective inner
lining of shoes.
Using Juzo Easy Fit to put on your product
1. Fold the clasp back and down.
2. Pull the stocking straight. The toe should be pointing
downwards (do not turn the stocking inside out).
3. Using both hands, hold the stocking at the top and roll
the edge of the stocking over the shaft. The toe of the
stocking should be pointing away from the donning and
doffing aid.
4. Now roll the stocking over the shaft until the seam of the
heel is visible at the edge of the shaft.
5. Now sit down and hold the donning and doffing aid
handles at a slight angle. Make sure that your foot is dry.
Starting with your toes, push your foot into the foot part
of the stocking until your heel is no longer visible.
6. Slide your foot into the foot part until your toes are
visible underneath the shaft. Now make sure the
donning and doffing aid is almost vertical: raise your toes
and apply pressure on the heel at the same time. This
rolling motion will help your foot glide into the stocking
with ease. Now firmly plant your foot on the floor. Tip:
Practise this motion sequence several times. It will make
donning easier.
7. Using the donning and doffing aid, pull the stocking up to
knee-height. Carefully push the donning aid downwards
and out of the stocking.
8. Ease the stocking towards your thigh bit by bit with both
hands. Caution: never pull on the upper edge of the
stocking when you do this! Fold over the silicone border
(if applicable) before pulling up the stocking. Important:
wear Juzo special gloves to protect the fine knitted
fabric from damage caused by finger nails, rings etc.
9. Distribute the knitted fabric evenly up your leg,
smoothing it out with gentle strokes as you go, and avoid
creasing.
Using Juzo Easy Fit to take off your product
10. Hold the stocking with both hands and pull it down
towards your knee. Caution: never pull on the upper
edge of the stocking when you do this! Fold over the
silicone border (if applicable) before pulling down the
stocking. Important: wear Juzo special gloves to protect
the fine knitted fabric from damage caused by finger
nails, rings etc.
11. Now sit down and place your leg into the donning and
doffing aid so that your calf is touching the upper curved
edge of the shaft. Ease the top of the stocking down
over the shaft until the top of the stocking is level with
your heel.
12. Push the entire stocking down as far as the shaft will
permit.
13. Using both hands, fold the clasp up towards the shaft
until it clicks into place. The stocking is now secured.
14. Place the donning and doffing aid on the floor. Hold both
handles with your hands and, for additional stabilisation,
put the other foot on one of the lower bars. Raise the
foot with the stocking to shaft height. The heel should be
above the clasp.
15. Now pull your foot out of the stocking horizontally, paral-
lel to the floor. Avoid pulling the foot up at an angle.
16. Open the clasp by folding it downwards. Now you can
remove the stocking easily from the donning and doffing
aid.
Safety notice
The donning and doffing aid should be dispensed by pro-
perly trained staff only, at a medical retailer. Please contact
