5. INSTALLATION
2 possibilities :
• FIG. 1 : Pump in suction (Silent Box 204 - 205)
• FIG. 2 : Pump in pressure (Silent Box 203 - 204 - 205) connected with
bladder tank (item 13) or to the hydraulic network (item 14).
5.1 Unpacking (See drawing Unpacking)
Remove the wooden base before the installation.
This base fixe the pump inside the plastic box
ATTENTION !
durint the transport.
- Remove the entire pump (item A) and the base (item B) out of the
packaging.
- Reverse it an on side and remove the 3 screws (item C).
The pump is then ready to be installed and connected.
5.2 Assembly
Install the pump in a place easy to reach, protected protected
against extrema conditions (rain and sun in excess, frost and as close
as possible from the drawing point).
Horizontality defect allowed ± 5° maximum (See FIG. 5). Above this
value, the silent blocks don't work correctly.
The pump can't be installed vertically. The base of
ATTENTION !
the pump must be laid on the floor. It can be neces-
sary to re-locate the base to prevent the pipes from touching the desi-
gn box.
Take into account that the altitude of the installa-
tion place and water temperature may reduce
ATTENTION !
the suction head of the pump.

5.3 hydraulic connections
Use a flexible hose with a reinforcement or rigid screw.
The diameter of the suction pipe must never be smaller than the one
of the pump.
Limit the horizontal length of the suction pipe and avoid all features
that cause losses of head (tapers, bends...).
With rigid pipes, use supports with collars so that the pump does not
bear the weight of the pipes.
The setting up of a strainer (cross section 1 mm maximum) avoids any
damage of the pump by suction of stones and foreign particles.
If the pump is in suction : immerse the strainer (at least 700 mm deep
and 10 cm above the bottom of the well). If necessary ballast the
flexible pipe.
Nominal diameter of the suction/delivery ports (tapped) : 1" (26-34).
Carefully seal the pipes with adequate products.
When the pipes are fixed and connected, you can limit the strains
from pipes to the pump by adjustment on the ball pivot. (Adjustable
angle = 12° max)
The pump is provided with a dry running protection.
ATTENTION !
No air input is allowed in the suction pipe.
Do not use non-return valve at the discharge of
ATTENTION !
the pump. It will be incompatible with the non-
return valve of the pump and disturb the good working of the pump
(too much start up).
5.4 Sound level optimisation
The product has been designed for the lower acoustic nuisance in the
domestic area. In that target and to have the best result, it is neces-
sary to observe some advices.
- For having the best sound level, adjust the base around the pump

after having connected the pipes. The pipe must not touch the box.
- The pump and the pipes must never be in contact with the box.
- After the connection of the pipes, adjust the ball pivot (See after) to
limit the strain of the installation on the pump.
- The pump is not fixed on the floor but lay on 3 non slip rubbers.
When the installation is finished, adjust the box in order to centre the
suction and the discharge pipes in the middle of the holes of the
box.
- The pump lays on 3 Silent bloc inside the box and is adapted to the
weight of the pump and optimised to absorb the vibration of the
pump and the motor. For a good working of these silent blocks you
may fix the pipes and not make the weight of pipes carried by
them. Fix the pipes with adapted supports which will not transmit
the vibration of the hydraulic to wall.
- If there is still hydraulic noise, equipped the pump with adapted
hydraulic connections.
Nota : Criteria for check the quality of installation seen from sound
level aspects : When the pump runs, the box doesn't vibrate at all.
5.5 Electrical connections
The Electrical installation must be in conformity with the elec-
trical rules of the country.
To check the compatibility of the plug with the local normative plugs.
See name plate of the motor for electrical characteristics (frequen-
cy, voltage, nominal current).
The electrical supply is done with a standard European plug 2 Poles +
earth).
The cable must never be in contact with the hydraulic pipes
or the pump. It must be far from any humidity.
If an extension is added to the cord supplied with the motor, it must
comply with the standard in force: 3 conductors (2 phases + earth). If
the cable is damaged, make it replace by a qualified personnel.
6. STARTING UP
6.1 Filling - degassing
Never operate the pump dry, even briefly.
ATTENTION !
The hydraulic trapdoor (See FIG. 7 - item 22) must be closed
before any plugging to electrical network or any start.
Pump under pressure (See FIG. 2)
- Close the discharge valve (item 9).
- Unscrew the filling plug (item 2).
- Progressively open the suction valve (item 8) and completely fill the
pump.
- Screw again the filling plug only after water flows out and complete
aeration.
Pump in suction (See FIG. 1 - 3)
Be sure that all accessories connected to the
pump delivery are opened (cocks, valves, sprink-
ATTENTION !
ling sprays).
- Open the discharge valve (item 9).
