4.2 Displays
4.2.1 Temperature Display (M)
Displays the actual temperature of the casting chamber. If required, it can also display the stored informa-
tion of the casting programs as well as error messages. With the help of the corresponding control lamp that
is lit it is possible to recognize whether the value that is displayed is a temperature (°C) or time (
) value.
4.2.2 Program display (N)
Shows the corresponding program out of a total number of 16 possible programs (0 – 9, A – F) that is
started or running.
4.2.3 Preheating
In order to obtain a uniform temperature inside the casting chamber and thus optimum conditions for the
following casting processes, the unit automatically heats up to 1300 °C when it is switched on. The control
lamp flashes during the preheating process. When the preheating temperature is reached, the temperature
decreases to the starting temperature that has been entered and the control lamp is lit continuously. If a
melting temperature of 0 °C has been entered, the unit recognizes no entry and will not start the pre-
heating program either.
4.3 Display of casting sequence (O)
Shows the sequence of the casting process. Flashing control lights indicate which process is just being
run; control lamps that are continuously lit indicate the completion of the corresponding process. Control
lamps that are not lit indicate that this process has not been carried out or that is has already been com-
pleted.
4.3.1 Starting temperature (Start °C)
The display flashes as long as the starting temperature has not been reached. If the starting temperature
is reached, the control lamp is lit continuously. It is also lit during programming and confirming of the
melting temperature. After finishing the melting process and the casting chamber is open, the control
lamp is flashing again until the starting temperature is reached.
4.3.2 Melting temperature
Until the melting temperature is reached, the control light is flashing. If the melting temperature is
reached, the control lamp is lit continuously. It is also lit during programming and confirming the melting
temperature. It goes out when the casting process is finished and the lid of the casting chamber is open.
4.3.3 Time of further heating (Further heating sec.)
The time of further heating is started by pressing a button (Gießen). The control lamp flashes until the end
of this time. After the end of the time of further heating it is lit continuously and an acoustic signal can be
