Cleaning and Storage
PLEASE NOTE!
■
Danger of damage from liquid and cleaning agent! The motor unit and the blade
attachments must not be cleaned in the dishwasher!
■
Surfaces could be damaged! Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents or
scouring sponges to clean the device.
1. Make sure that the device is disconnected from the mains power!
2. If required, wipe down the motor unit (3) with a slightly damp cloth. Then dry it with
a soft cloth.
3. Rinse the blade attachment (2, 4) and shaker (1, 5) with clear, warm water and a little
mild detergent. The shakers (1, 5) can also be cleaned in the dishwasher.
4. Allow all parts to dry completely before they are reassembled and stored away.
5. Store the device in a cool, dry place which is protected from direct sunlight and is out
of the reach of children and animals.
Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, fi rst check whether you are able to rectify the prob-
lem yourself.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
If the device will not switch on, check the following:
•
Is the mains plug inserted in the socket correctly?
•
Is the plug socket defective? Try another socket.
•
Has the fuse of your mains connection been activated?
•
Is the blade attachment (2, 4) screwed on correctly?
•
Is the blade attachment (2, 4) positioned in the motor unit (3) correctly? The device
can only be switched on if the blade attachment (2, 4) has been positioned correctly
in the motor unit (3).
•
If the device was switched on for too long without interruption or overfi lled, the over-
heating protection has probably been triggered. Pull out the mains plug and allow the
device to cool down for a few minutes. If the device has been overfi lled, also open
the shaker (1, 5) and reduce the fi ll level. Add water if necessary to ingredients which
are tough to process.
