Do not make any modifi cations to the device, mains cable, mains

plug or the accessories. Never attempt to repair parts of the sys-
tem yourself to avoid any hazards! Repairs may only be carried
out by the authorised customer service department, otherwise
all warranty and guarantee claims shall be void.

DANGER – Danger of Electric Shock from Water
■
Never immerse the motor unit, mains cable or mains plug in water or other liquids and
ensure that they cannot fall into water or become wet.
■
Use and store the device only in closed rooms. Do not operate the device in rooms
with high humidity.
■
Should the motor unit fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not
attempt to pull it out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
■
Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned, fallen or been dropped in water. Have
it checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.
■
Never touch the motor unit, mains cable or mains plug with wet hands when these
components are connected to the mains power.
WARNING – Danger of Electric Shock from Damage and
Inappropriate Use

Only connect the device to a properly installed plug socket. The socket must also be
readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly
be isolated. The mains voltage must match the rating plate of the device. Only use
suitable extension cables whose technical data is the same as that of the device.
WARNING – Danger of Fire

Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable or explosive substances.
■
Do not operate the device in the vicinity of combustible material. Do not place any
combustible materials (e.g. cardboard, paper or plastic) on or in the device.
■
Do not cover the device during operation in order to prevent it from catching fi re. En-
sure that there is suffi cient ventilation while the device is in operation.
NOTE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property

Always place the device on a dry, even and stable surface.
■
Do not place the device on or next to heat sources such as hobs or ovens. Keep
naked fl ames, e.g. burning candles, away from the device, the cable and the plug.
■
Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
■
The mains cable must not hang down from the surface on which the device is placed
in order to prevent the device from being pulled down.
■
Switch off the device and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket if an error occurs
during operation or before a thunderstorm.
