4. Stability
Notice: when necessary according to the instructions, stabi-
lisers and ballast have to be used.
5. Safety notice
• Before use, check if the tower has been erected correctly and
completely and check safety equipment.
• Apply brakes (red pedal in down position) (if attached).
• Mobile aluminium towers should be moved lengthwise and at
normal walking speed.
• Avoid contact with other objects.
• The mobile aluminium tower may only be used when all precau-
tionary guardrails and toeboards are in place, according to the
manufacturers instructions.
• Trapdoors should be closed, except when in direct use.
• Be aware of horizontal and vertical loads which may lead to
tipping over of the aluminium tower e.g.:
6. Maintenance and checks
• All parts of the aluminium tower should be handled carefully
when transported to avoid damage.
• Store all parts correctly and safely to avoid damage.
• Protect all parts against weathering.

Safety instructions
At windspeeds of 12 m/s and more, the stability is not being
guaranteed. Extra windload should be taken in account (tunnel-
winds in open structures, corners at buildings). In these cases the
tower should be dismantled or moved into a safe zone, or secured
otherwise.

• Tools and materials should be passed on from below. Do not
overload platform.
• Check the functioning of stabilisers (if attached) before using the
aluminium tower.
• Do check national and local legislation before every use.
• Only one platform may be loaded at a time.
• Work may only be carried out on one platform at a time.
• More than one person may stand on the platform, provided the
maximum total load is not exceeded.
• Check all moving parts on their functioning and on being clean.
• Check all parts on damages.
• Replace damaged parts.
