EARTHING:
This system must be earthed. The plug is to be
connected to a correctly installed and earthed mains
socket.
DANGER:
Incorrect installation of the earthing plug can result
in an electric shock hazard.
If the cable and/or plug requires repair or
replacement, please contact an electrician.

EXTENSION CABLE:

Make sure that the extension cable is undamaged.
Also ensure the cable has a sufficient cross section.
A cable that is too thin reduces the voltage, which
leads to a dip in power and causes the turbine to overheat.
If in doubt use the next cable size up.
RISK OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION:
Solvents:
If halogenated hydrocarbon solvents are used with
aluminium or galvanised components in an enclosed
(pressurised) liquid system (pumps, heaters, filters,
valves, spray guns, tanks, etc.) they can cause an explosion.
The explosion can result in serious injury, death and/or
significant property damage. Halogenated hydrocarbon
solvents may be contained in cleaning agents, lacquers or
paint, etc.
Galvanised components react with halogenated hydrocarbon
solvents.

NOT
USE
HYDROCARBONS.
PREPARATION:
Material setting
1. Adjust the material according to the paint manufacturer's
recommendations.
2. Sieve the material before each application.
3. Dilute the material using compatible solvents.
The material to be processed should always be adjusted in
terms of spray viscosity. The correct spray viscosity can be
set with the help of a viscosity cup.
The viscosity of the material to be processed is specified in
the material manufacturer's data sheet.
Setting the spray gun
The siphon cup gun is supplied with the following nozzles:
1.3 – 1.7 – and 2.5 mm, as well as a red air cap (for the
1.3 mm nozzle) and a blue air cap (for the 1.7 + 2.5 mm
nozzle).

Before starting work always conduct a spray test.
Turning the material flow screw adjusts the spray pattern in
terms of spray width and material quantity.
Type of spray pattern:
1. Round: air cap diagonal
2. Vertical: air cap horizontal
3. Horizontal: air cap vertical
Selecting the correct nozzle, needle and air cap:
Observe the material manufacturer's specifications in the
data sheets, which indicate processing recommendations /
nozzle size.
For the 1.3 mm nozzle: red air cap
For the 1.7 + 2.5 mm nozzle: blue air cap
- To exchange the nozzle remove the air cap and the air cap
retaining ring on the front of the gun.
- Dismantle the nozzle using the supplied nozzle spanner.
- Assembly occurs in reverse sequence.
Connecting the air hose:
One end of the air hose is connected to the turbine via the
bayonet cap and the other end is connected to the siphon
cup gun.
Spraying method
Always guide the spray gun perpendicular to the surface
whilst ensuring you maintain an even distance (approx. 15-
20 cm).
Guide the spray gun evenly over the surface to be coated
using a horizontal or vertical motion (depending on the
position of the air cap). Start to move the spray gun before
pressing the trigger.
Overlapping the spray jet:
In order to obtain an even surface finish it is necessary to
overlap the spray jet by approx. 50%.
Cleaning after spraying:
If the equipment is not cleaned adequately after spraying, it
will severely impair the spray result, function and service life
of the spraying system.
Clean the siphon cup gun after each use.
- Pour any material left in the paint cup back into its original
container.
- Pour a small amount of solvent that is compatible with the
processed material into the siphon cup, then clean, empty
and wipe it dry.
- Pour a small amount of solvent into the cup and spray it
through the gun to clean the nozzle and the needle.
